News from the pres…

Wow! The awards committee for the year end awards is on the ball and already wheel’in and deal’in! Glad to see they have a great head start! Thanks Lee Ann Olheiser, Shelby Lovejoy and Janci Hannen for volunteering for that committee!

Tina Dickson is working hard on the Eastside fundraiser April 21^st and 22^nd at Greenspot Arena in Madras. She has all the average awards in place! There will be a silent auction, so if anyone has anything to donate, you can give it to myself, Tina, or anyone on the board. Look around your tack room and see what you’re not using…even used bits and other tack make a great item. We made around $400 at last year’s silent auction and every little bit helps!

Just a note about the fund raiser races: Only the PM races on Saturday and Sunday, which have the added money, will generate double points. This applies to both the Eastside and Westside races.

The 2012 Can Chaser series is on the schedule, so take a look at that. Judee Hagen is having races on Saturday and Sunday October 13^th and 14^th, which is a part of that series, and there will be average awards for that weekend sponsored by Les Schwab in Prineville.

I sure would love to see some more races getting approved….does any one have any ideas?
