Well, another OBRA year has wrapped up! The 2010-2011 Finals in Albany were a success. Thank you again to Cindy Casey and her committee. They did a fabulous job putting on the finals.

Colleen Kinsgbury was the lucky winner of the tickets to the NFR. We are going to offer that incentive again this coming year. It is a drawing that includes everyone who made 20 races. You do not need to be present at the finals to win. It includes two nights accommodations and NFR tickets!
Thank you to everyone who stepped up this year to serve on the board. Beside myself, your Vice President is Shawna Leslie. The novice chairman is Angela Bates and the awards committee is Lee Ann Olheiser, Mitzi Shepherd and Janci Hannen. The secretary / treasurer who was voted on at the meeting resigned this last week due to personal and family obligations. Mitzi Shepherd has graciously stepped in to this position again, which will be a smooth transition since she was in that position last year. Jennifer McDonald who volunteered to be the web master again has decided also to step down so we are searching for a new web master. Jennifer has been helping me this week get everything posted and I really appreciate her hanging in there.
I am really excited for the upcoming year! We already have in place a finals committee headed up by Vickie Westwood, and committees formed for the fund raiser races on each side. Vickie is looking in on proposals for locations for the finals, which will come back to the East side. I see many races already on the calendar! I have received many positive comments and feel a lot of positive energy for this year! Thank you for your support!
